Porsche 911 Number Plates

A frontrunner in style and luxury, the Porsche 911 is a car that is difficult to ignore. With over 90 years of engineering under their belts, Porsche have long been known as a brand that caters to drivers who want a car that is fast and chic.

Of course, with a luxury car, it only makes sense for the plate on the car to match. No matter what your taste is, with the wide range of plates on offer at Absolute Reg, you are certain to find something that suits you.

What Types Are Available?

New/Current Style

New/current style plates were first issued in 2001. With this system, the first two letters represent the area, and the last two digits represent the date. This makes it easy to identify the area and date of issue of each plate.

Prefix Style

Prefix style number plates came before the new/current style. Here, the year of issue is referenced by the first letters. For example, ‘A’ refers to 1983 when they were introduced.

Suffix Style

Previous to the prefix style came the suffix style. With these plates, it’s the last letter that represents the year of issue. Since they were first introduced in 1963, this is what ‘A’ refers to.

Dateless

Dateless number plates offer a more flexible option for anyone who wants more creative freedom with their plate. That’s because there are fewer restrictions with the order of digits and numbers.
